Safety

Many jobs can be hazardous to your vision, but a few simple precautions can help prevent eye injury and save your sight.  We can fit you for safety glasses including brands such as Wolverine and Titmus.

  • Some machinery, tools, chemicals and sharp debris can pose a serious threat especially if your eyes are not shielded. Make sure you protect your eyes from these hazards with safety eyewear that meets the current standards for your job. Also, check hazardous areas regularly and report any dangerous or unusual findings.
  • Review all accident prevention policies regularly and follow them. Routine eye exams and physicals are also good policies to follow to ensure that your co-workers and you are healthy and in top shape to perform your job. Poor vision and health problems, if left unchecked, can lead to disaster in the workplace.
  • Also, if your company offers programs on dangers in the work place, and how to protect yourself, take advantage of them. Educating yourself and your co-workers on job safety and accident procedures may save more than your sight.

Eye protection shouldn't stop at the workplace.  Many home and sport activities call for added eye protection.
